
Rita
Ravindra is an investor and advisor to several consumer Internet companies
in Los Angeles, including Broke Girl's Guide (www.brokegirlsguide.com),
ForYourArt (www.foryourart.com) and
Digitwirl (www.digitwirl.com). Prior
to her investor role, Rita was Vice President of Business Development at
Myspace where she led negotiations and structured business partnerships
with third-party technology, content and e-commerce companies. Prior to her
business development role, Rita served as Myspace’s Vice President of
International Strategy where she helped launch operations in 30 countries,
set overall and country-specific strategies and developed business
relationships.
Prior to Myspace, Rita was Director of Finance at StrongMail Systems (a Sequoia Capital-backed company), where she was responsible for all finance, accounting, legal and HR activities. She played an instrumental role in StrongMail's $9.5MM Series B financing. Prior to StrongMail, Rita was a part of Ticketmaster’s Corporate Development team where she was responsible for evaluating and executing international and U.S. acquisitions.
Rita started her career in investment banking where she was actively involved in a variety of transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, financings, and valuations. Rita received her MBA from the University of Chicago and her B.A. degree in Economics from the University of California at Los Angeles.
