Ron Garret, Ph.D., is an entrepreneur, software engineer,
angel investor, and filmmaker. He worked at the
NASA Jet Propulsion Lab as a research scientist for
twelve years before quitting to go to work for an
obscure Silicon Valley startup company called Google.
He has co-founded three startup companies, including an
on-line jet charter business that was acquired by
Richard Branson and became Virgin Charter, and invested
in a dozen others. His documentary film about
homelessness recently premiered at the Oakland
International Film Festival. He is currently an
advisor for the B612 Foundation, an organization
dedicated to finding and changing the trajectory of
asteroids on a collision course with Earth.
