Sara Bordo is the Co-founder & President of
NowLive, the leading entertainment production and streaming company for
live events. From the hottest red carpet movie premieres, music
concerts, and celebrity cast chats to the latest gaming and social media
events, NowLive offers the highest quality live show for both brands and
audiences. Since it’s launch in 2010, NowLive has been hired to produce,
stream and syndicate events such as The Hangover Part II Premiere, Fast
Five Premiere from Rio de Janeiro, Sony Playstation’s Press Conference from
E3 and Entertainment Weekly Live from Comic-Con.
Sara has a long history in digital marketing and entertainment in Hollywood. In her most recent role she led all online Advertising, Creative, Publicity and Social Networking as VP of Digital Marketing at MGM Studios. Prior to MGM, she was SVP of Marketing at venture-backed SocialVibe.com, a social media advertising platform that facilitates interaction between people, the brands they love, and the causes they care about. In that role she oversaw Public Relations, Advertising, Member and Product Marketing, and Partnerships. Her efforts helped to secure two rounds of venture capital funding as well as growing the member base from 1 to 1 million in one year, including partnerships with Hayden Panettiere, Seventeen Magazine and Yahoo!
Sara was also part of the Interactive Media team at Paramount Pictures and created first-of-their kind online programs with partners including Google, Facebook, Yahoo!, XBOX and PlayStation. When Sara first moved to LA, she joined FirstFireworks, an entertainment-marketing firm, as Account Director on the GRAMMY Awards and eBay Strategic Partnerships businesses. Sara started her career in marketing and corporate public relations at the Estee Lauder Companies in New York. She then entered the advertising world at GSD&M in Austin, and later at DDB in Chicago.
In addition to being a successful entrepreneur and executive, Sara is an experienced mentor. For the past decade, she has mentored over one hundred women at various stages of their careers. Her belief, that women should champion other women in their careers, has guided her efforts to help young women in growing both professionally and personally and to the launch of Women Rising.
