Dr. Tony Karrer has been a part-time CTO or technology advisor for more than 25 early-stage startups over the past 15 years most notably eHarmony.  This gives him an incredibly diverse experience with different business models, products and technologies. 
 
Tony is also Founder and CEO of TechEmpower, a web development firm based in Los Angeles.  And Tony is Founder and CTO of Aggregage, a company that creates online publications in B2B markets based on curation, aggregation and social filtering. 
 
Prior to founding TechEmpower and starting as a part-time CTO, Tony opened and led the Los Angeles office of a technology consulting company that was sold for $58 million. At the time he was also teaching Computer Science and received tenure at Loyola Marymount University. 
 
Tony's work has won awards and has led him into consulting engagements at many Fortune 500 companies including Credit Suisse, Royal Bank of Canada, Citibank, Lexus, Microsoft, Nissan, Universal, IBM, Hewlett-Packard, Sun Microsystems, Fidelity Investments, Symbol Technologies and SHL Systemhouse.
 
Dr. Karrer was valedictorian at Loyola Marymount University, attended the University of Southern California as a Tau Beta Pi fellow, one of the top 30 engineers in the nation, and received a M.S. and Ph.D. in Computer Science. He is a frequent speaker at industry and academic events.
