Applications will be looked at on a rolling basis. The earlier
you get your applications in, the more time we have to evaluate them
and ask any follow on questions we might have.
Tips for getting accepted
- Be Focused
The upStart.LA Startup Accelerator program is a fulltime commitment for all the members of your team.
- Have a Strong Team
Teams who have worked together previously and know each other well are the best teams. We're looking for teams that have business talent, technical talent and product design talent. Yes, all three.
- Be Open to Feedback
Are you "in love" with your solution? Don't be. Be "in love" with the problem you're solving. Your solution will need to evolve as you go through the upStart.LA program. You'll need to be open to listening to feedback and advice from mentors with a wide array of backgrounds. Then you'll need to act based on what is best for your company.
- Have Experience
Although you may be starting your first company, what has your team accomplished in the past that is amazing? Tell us about it.
